Draxim listens for a bit, and then when everyone else indicates they are ready, moves N through the doors and up the corridor.
[ I feel like I'm driving kind of hard here, so let's at least get some consensus about moving north ]

As Draxim moves through the doors, Pogar follows in behind him, with his crossbow still pointing down the hall.

Re: The Heart
The northern corridor is about one hundred feet long and terminates in a pair of huge, and open, wooden doors. Beyond the double door is a circular chamber maybe sixty feet in diameter. Around the perimeter of the room descends a long spiral ramp that is about twenty feet wide. The roof of the chamber is a dome some thirty feet high. Although there is a twenty foot gap in the center of the vertical tube Draxim cannot see the bottom. There is, however, a rather brisk breeze blowing up from the dark depths.
[Map updated. This mapping program doesn't do spirals every well, but I think you get the idea.]

Re: The Heart
Stepping forward and looking into the deep hole, Pogar meerly nods to Madragar's comment. With a little sigh, Pogar mutters "Reminds me o home, a wee bit"
Feeling a little homesick, Pogar shakes his head to remove the lingering but slowly fading memories of his homeland, deep underground.
Pogar will kneel down at the edge and will stick his head in the hole, listening to see if he is able to hear anything while he sticks his hand deeper into the hole, feeling the side of the chamber.
[Pogar is trying to figure out, if possible, if this could have been a "chimney" for fire in smithies, possibly former Dwarven stronghold. He is also trying to listen to see if maybe the sound was coming from down there.]

Re: The Heart
Pogar is pretty sure it's not a chimney, or at least a very poorly designed one. He think it is much more likely a passage into the underworld. If that supposition is correct then it explains how the duergar got onto on island on the northern coast of Moagara. Pogar finds it hard to imagine that the evil dwarves got there by ship.
Atan and Janes look around the ledge, as well as nearest ten feet of the ramp. Both find evidence of a number of duergar boot prints. Also, though with varying degrees of interest, they find a curious, slick pile of dung. Atan concludes that it's feline but its odd color makes him uncertain as to its origin.
Khelzhad looks over and says matter of factly "cameleopard."

Pogar feels around to see if the hole is climbable, he will also check around the hole for signs of creatures climbing out the hole.

Re: The Heart
The Warrior priest stand quite listening to the thumping sound to see if it is rising from below.
"One of the Trivumverate said the forces of chaos were mutating creatures using the powers of the disk. I wonder if such a ceremony is occuring as we stand here."
[OOC: Listen +3
Forgive me but I am a little lost. Last I could tell the sound came from the west and we went north. Maybe I missed something. If the sound is coming from below then Im for going that direction. If not then we sould head towards teh sound.

Atan agrees with Sangraal and Ulwe, "Who ever it is will get through eventually and judging on the consistency of the pounding, it may Duergar. They have shown a skill at seige craft and a battering ram just maybe in their quiver."
Atan tries to time the thumping, and puts his ear to the wall trying to discern any voices such as someone giving commands.

"Yes, the wall might have a secret door on it." Sangraal turns and heads back to the west most octagonal chamber with Atan and Ulwe.
[OOC: Once there Sangraal will look for the talon symbol to indicate a secret door ]

Re: oh, god! Mormons!
The companions return to the small octagonal chamber which is choked with dust. Sangraal finds no claw lock [R.T.F.T] and Atan hears nothing on the other side of the stone beyond the rythmic booming. It seems quite close, however, as if the source of the assault on the stone slab is quite close by... inches perhaps.

Re: oh, god! Mormons!
Looking at his cousin, Pogar has a concerned look.
"It's no been that long since we're been home, fer a moment, couldna recognize tha sound, stone on stone." Pogar said slightly concerned.
Slowly, something emerges in his brain that grows larger and more concerning.
"Wasnt that guardian, a stone guardian? he asks.
