Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
Atan stands to the side a bit, knowing that Sangraal and Khelzhad are well versed in such things, he adds in, "But all the numbers add to 11. 1+10, 2+9, 3+8, 4+7, 6+5. So how do we know what combination to push?"

Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
[Not sure I understand the process. There are three talons (left, right and center) and a round inscription that correspond to the talon and circle on the drawing. There are no visible numbers on either the talon or the circle.]

Boy, Draxim you smell funny
[Dont know if its been done or not but....]

Draxim, seeing the discussion going about regarding the talon, will move about the depressions and see if he can find any traps

[Dont know his bonus's so...]

Re: Boy, Draxim you smell funny
Draxim pokes around for signs of any stonework traps but finds none. Since the door has no obvious locking mechanism he can't be sure though.

Re: Boy, Draxim you smell funny
Draxim will take 20 to ensure that there is nothing that will cause his friends harm.

[He's as sure as he can be. -GM]

[Scott stifles with difficulty.]

"Let's open this door."

Ulwe tries first by depressing the talon claw in the center.

Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
The stone of the inscription does not, in fact, move in any way. That is, if this is a lock there are no obvious moving parts.

Ulwe touches the center claw and nothing happens.

"Maybe, they are the steps that need to be performed in order"

Sangraal steps up and touches each talon in the numbered order, one at a time. He finishes the order by touching the circle ( step #11).

[So obvious it almost eluded them... ]

*Click* The door moves slightly inward as Sangraal touches the round node. Very slight additional pressure causes the massive block of stone to pivot on its center point, soundlessly revealing a ten foot wide, fifteen foot high passageway beyond.

Taking a step back, Pogar grabs his sword and shield, ready for anything to step through the door.

Sangraal steps back from the door slightly amazed that anything happened at all.

"Pogar, Draxim, Khelzhad can you see anything woth your dark vision?"

[They can see sixty feet of straight corridor. -GM]

Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
Sangraal inspects the secret door and enlists Draxims help. the answer they seek is "can the door be opened from the inside?".

[OOC: If it can then lets move Madragar inside. We know that whoever comes down here will not be able to open the secret door without the "key" and seeing how the scribe had filled the wall up with scrolls we can assume nobody knew of it. Plus since the Dragonnewts gave us the "key" it probably has not been used in at least decades so its probably pretty safe.]

Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
[Any reason you couldn't have said all that in character?]

The interior surface of the door is blank except for a single round node on one side. It is the same size and shape as the "11" node on the front of the door.

Re: 10+1, 7+4, 2+9 =
" I'll attempt to shut it. If it doesn't open then just repeat the process I did to open it."

Sangraal gets a light source and steps inside the secret door and presses the single round node to shut the secret door. Then if it closes he will repeat push the node again to see if it opens.

The door closes with Sangraal on the other side, and opens again a moment later when he presses on the small round node.

Re: long dark tunnel
"Right then, Ladds." Pogar says. He moves to help move Madragar into the new hiding spot.

While everyone is moving about preparing to move inside, Draxim will hand his pack to Pogar and will move about inside the room, searching for any hidden traps or anything bad.

Re: long dark tunnel
Ulwe takes his large shield and runs his spear along one side, with Madragar's staff on the other to form a stretcher for the stricken mage.

He uses care and consideration (Heal skill ?) to make sure that the transfer is as safe as can be.

He enlists Draxim and Pogar to be the stretcher bearers and walks alongside to oversee the operation.

"Let's see where this tunnel leads to."
