Re: Do I get any exp for this?
Who/what were the voices Atan heard in the bar in Tunlura?

What happend to the giant corpse (Koreus?) that guarded old Kurlew after the battle? I know the broo dragged his body away.

Was Madrgars girlfriend alive or did she get aced by Druuga's henchmen?

That was the Gorgon screwing with you.

Dragged south to be used later for some foul purpose.

Ah, interesting story.

As most of you probably don't know, Vala was compelled to become a priestess of Hroldi. Basically, when Madragar was poisoned and near death, Vala promised Hroldi to devote her life to the goddess if she spared Madragar. This promise she kept and when the companions headed off toward the Cairnhollow, Vala took her vows.

The next day, driven by visions, Vala left Ravensgate and journeyed off into the unknown. My intent was to have her return in the most ironic and complicated way possible, such as the healer and protector of Druuga and his crew of criminals - just as Madragar is about to blast them with some big death-dealing magic.

You forgot to tell them about how Vala had a thing for dwarves.

Good. I was really hoping that this attachment would play a fitting part later. That would've been good.

It would have been hard putting arrows into Vala but it would have been an interesting roleplaying aspect.:evil

What is the point of all this? It seems wrong, like spoiling a good book by spelling out the ending just as the story gets good.

Because the book has been thrown down a deep, deep well and no one will read it ever again.

Yeah, what with all the burning and screaming and "Please, not another scintillating sphere!"

Scintillating Sphere sounds very gay.

It did not make sense to me when you did this a month ago, and it does not make sense to me now, and it will not make sense to me six months from now.

Re: Do I get any exp for this?
So it's a comprehension problem? :)

Nobody's perfectly happy (and I'm quite sure that includes Scott). I personally think it's a damned shame. But when a GM has had enough, going back to the material feels like alternately being forced to read the DesMoines phone book (Manhattan is a lot more interesting) and being dragged over broken glass.

When he's done, he's done. Dragging him back, even if we could, would not result in the same good game.

So let's all be happy for Lords 52.

That's pretty close.

I created this thing, and we all had fun. The thing is over and can't be recreated, any more than those crazy adventures of youth: Bennett's campaign, the Traveler I ran in Ward's basement, the many phases of Theeurth, and on and on. They're just stories now we can talk about over beers or whatever.

There's always something else down the road. We're all freakin gamers. We can't help it.

Fair enough.

I agree with Nolan... It is a damn shame. But You are a key ingredient in all this and if it does not work for you then that as they say is that.

Ahh yes - the crew pooled their money together for a burrito machine before succumbing to space madness. The B movie Dark Star reminds me of that adventure.

It also had the only instance I've ever seen in RPG's of a PC getting fired.

I though it was Corky, Ward's engineer who kept failing his repair attempts on the warp drive.
