Skin samples are part of the main progression quest - 3 trials, 3 relics, 3 tasks.

Thanks... a guy told me about killing a named and having 3 corpses happen, each with a rellic thing on it or something... but can you elaborate a bit about which of these the glyphed skin have to do with? Or give me an NPC to talk to? I talked to the first one in, and responded to everything except the trials, because I wasn't in a position to start one... also, do we know how many there are? I am thinking three, one at each temple... anyway, any info you can share (maybe a link to the progression quest? I haven't found anything useful on that yet) would be great.

Err, is the progression quest the same thing as the breakdown in communication quest?

It was all posted in the Triton post in Back Alley that was removed.
You needed 1 from each of the 3 trial areas, according to that post, and it was the final task, after the 3 trials, THEN the 3 relics - It was also not possible to go out of order.
Now that post's validity is being disputed also, so I have no clue how accurate that info is.

Anyone tried a tongue combine since todays patch? Any more failures?
GM returned mine after my first failure and an hour of begging and pleading but said they wont do it again. Something about the combine is done in a 'world container' type container and because of this, there is no record of you having the tongue.
He says in the future, /report if you loot a tongue and need to prove it.

Tongues still bugged
server GM replaced poofed combine, said he'd reported this up the chain and that hopefully the fix would get patched in... was not the normal combine bug - the combine works now... but the bug now is that you're not getting anything in exchange for the successful combine.

I can confirm that... both Kyv Tongue and Ixt Tongue eaten for me. Yea, I'm a dumbass for trying both, but Kyv is nonstackable and Ixt is stackable, so I wanted to see if that was part of the bug. It's not. :P

Hey Lorkai.
This requires the siren tongue. The quest in question asks for muramite tongues specifically, and since Sirens are found elsewhere, they probably don't count...thanks though

I picked up 1 salt on Thurs, and managed to find 4 today. Several other runs through Natimbi have netted zero, though. So it appears they respawn, but it takes a really long time.
Too bad a guide/gm won't even respond to my petition about lost tongues, let alone actually get off their dead asses and replace them...

I found one, once. Look in Natimbi in the places where the beach is WHITE. That's by the camp, and near the undead, and maybe a little bit elsewhere but I don't know for sure. I don't have an exact loc 8(.
Good news: No poof! Combined an Ikaav tongue with salt in the sealer.
Bad news: No combine whatsoever. It gave me the DNC message, period. I also have a Noc tongue in the bank, so I plan to check if the Noc tongue will combine at least.
