Sold some items and felt froggie since I had funds for several attempts. Grabbed a Sealed Vial from the bank and sat down to try again. Dex was at 245 no buffs, nothing. Crossed my fingers and asked my guild to wish me luck, POW, Assassin's Vial. I strongly believe this is a pure random generated pass or fail.

Talking about Renux and the Circle faction, how are you working up your faction? Since the Rogue Errands quest has been nerfed, I am simply getting the _Old Bent Card_ from Knargon in Qeynos, trading them with Jracol, getting the _Note to Knargon_ from him and finally giving this back to Knargon (I went to Highpass for the rest of the quest, but the faction is really irrelevant...)
I have dump so far about 100 Cards, but my faction is still Amiably (was Amiably at start.)
Any faster method (poachers in Toxx Forest, things like that)?

I was max ally to the good guards in Qeynos, so I killed a few of them and it shot up pretty quick. Be REAL careful of the guy at the guard tower in Qeynos Hills. He's the one in the back of the tower.(Named something like Guard Christoff? That aint it, but it's something like that) Cons green at 62 and hits HARD. The fight ended up being a lot closer than I'd have liked. The other ones are sissies.
If you want to take the slow but safe route you kill bandits in EK & WK, raiders in NK & SK. Those up your Unseen Hands faction too.

I did this last night. Old bent card -> Jracol, and Note to Knargon -> Knargon. I put all my bags in the bank and summoned 8 grandmaster's satchels to do the ferrying. It took me 300 dual hand-ins to go from dubious to ally, which was 4 full runs. Easy

well it took about 8k and 6 hours of combines to get make poison from 180 to 250...then, totally tired of combining and farming, I decided to buy the artisan's seal in bazaar for the 5k asked...all the components needed for it anywayz equals about that much, I think. I said screw it; I can make more money later... eventually...
Put it in my collapsed morter & pestle, click combine -- nothin'. =(
Looks like I'm gonna be saving up for a while. Fastest 5k I've ever lost heh.
I wouldn't doubt it is completely random.
Also, I forget who posted about how to get Renux to spawn faster, but they were right on. I killed Toxfodder (Hits hard for a green, I'm 62 and was glad I had haste) and few mins later(just starting to get dark, so nowhere near her 9am spawntime) Renux pops in right where Toxfodder was. Thanks for the tip!

The random number generator gods finally decided to bless me with good fortune last night. After untold thousands of combines to get to 250 I succeded on my vial last night on the first attempt at 250 skill with geerlok and 170 unbuffed DEX. Was painful to get there but all became well worth it when I opened my eyes and saw that little brown vial floating on my cursor..

Maxxed skill to 250, raised aa poison mastery by one point, bought the geerlock to increase poison making by 5%...

Last night I was able to acquire the last of the mounted gems, and make my artisans seal. this past week, I trained up my Make Poison to 240 with the PoK GM, and bought a geerlok about a month ago.
So, once I had the seal, bought a sealed vial, dropped them into the collapsible mortar and pestle, and voila, vial for me. Gave the summoned bag to the fellow on the veranda in the Bazaar, and got the satchel. The greatest thing I've seen so far about the vial is that with +50 CHA, I don't have to carry around 6 pieces of CHA gear anymore, I just swap my ranged/ammo slots and buy/sell. Very handy!
So, for the record, this was my first attempt, 240+5% (252) skill, level 58, collapsible mortar and pestle. Combine was done 20030815, ATK was ~1200, STR was 255. Those were the only notable stats at the time of the combine.

My enchanter required 3 attempts to get her Jeweler's eyepiece, so I expected 3 attempts for my GMAV when I went to try it.
I failed a couple times on the gem mounting step, but never the pottery.

Does PM3 give you a 50% chance to make the vial, even if your make poison skill is not > 200?

made mine last night with 225skill +3% mod thingy, woot on first try too =P.
was just luck im sure had no buffs hehe, zonedinto baz hmm atrisan seal for 4600, sealed vial in bank tadaa!! i was all like wtf when vial appeared on my cursor heh, totally expected to fail.

I just finished mine last night after getting 250 make poison. 112wis 84int, no buffs of any kind (well, miraculous visions from ornate gloves). Made it first try, no issues.

Finished up 250 late last night /yawn, with pm1, geerlock and focus buff only, ran to bazaar, bought artisans seal and attempted, 1st try, also did my shaman alchemy trophy the other day without any buffs, first try. Feeling pretty darn lucky.

well.... i just got mine first shot... was probably just really lucky... but had 240poisonmaking, plus geerlok... dex of 255 and wis got up to 150 or so... sat down, had my guild pray to their respective dieties... then hit combine... and was successful... so ::shrug:: probably mostly luck... but if not i hope this helps...
