NOT IMPOSSIBLE. I found all my gems monting the jewels is trivial at 16 and i had a 100 in jewelcraft and i failed on jacinth the first time. damn that 10% fail rule even for trivial. at least i wtll think its there. any whoo my pottery is 150 and i had no problems making the seal and firing it myself. my poison making is only 240 and i have the geerlok mortar. got my seal and sealed vial poof it was a sucess Grandmasters assasin Vial. then tripped hapily to baz to get my permanent 10 slot 100% weight reduction bag.
Dumb luck mabye, but just goes to show ya that you can do this first time up.

I think a guildie of mine has the record for most attempts. He has 250 poision making with the gearlock for each combine. He succeded on the 25th time. He added up the materals and thats a total of 200 Velium Bars, 100 Rubies, 25 Diamonds, 25 Black Sapphires, 25 Jacinths, and 25 Blue Diamonds.
It took me 9 or 10 times, I cant rember exactly. But I was only level 55 and it was only a few weeks after the seal quest was discovered. There were no poision gearlocks in existance at the time.

first attempt...maxed dex made a prayer to bristlebane (hey, he's the god of luck and stuff, and i needed it) and with 239 make (+5% geerlock thing to put me at 250) i suceeded. go me
now i'm working on my seal, and farming some of those components...bleh.

First try with 225 skill and failed.
Second try with 225 skill + geerlock + fingers crossed and success!
Go figure.

I just got GMAV today - 1st attempt, with 250 make poison + geerlok. No buffs, no aa's.
