Well I can say I for one have quit because of the dx9 issues. I just got tired of having a brand new machine (that I got twinked out just so I could run high end games) crashing while I play EQ and other problems since they implemented dx9 engine. It makes me sad because i've invested 3 years into it only to have something that is supposed to improve the game to chase me off. Maybe i'll try something else or maybe just stay offline.

Gates has basically just made everyone bored. Theres really not much content. There are really only what. . .6 new mob models you kill on repeat.

The game truly is 60-65+ now. The game needs a massive revamp to focus on the player base (Read 60-65/100's of AA). The "Small Player" doesnt get to use the low content anyway.

Who Kills Every KD mob? A group of 65/100+ AA players twinking an Alt. Who kills every SSRA mob? A group of 65/100+ AA players twinking an Alt. Who Kills EP Minis? A group of 65/100+ AA players twinking an Alt. For that matter . . .Who kills Trakanon? Gore? Tale? Wooshi? Ect^ Infinity. . . A 65 PLAYER with 100's of AA to twink a alt or sell items in Baazar. . .See a pattern?

Velious/SoL especially need revamps to focus on the player base. PoP needs to be harder. And Gates just has no content. . .And thats why soo many players are bored and moving on to other games. Just look at all the raiding guild websites. . .they are OPEN Recruiting pretty much anyone who still has any enthusiam for the game. . .as opposed to the old/normal CLOSED "Don't call us . . .we will call you" recruiting.

GoD has been a trainwreck. The vast majority of guilds working
on GoD have had to reopen recruiting for all classes. That should
speak volumes to you about it's effect on the game, considering
the raid cap is reduced in GoD.

The raid cap is probably one of the biggest killers, along with the monotony of clearing trash mobs for hours. Hard is cool, hell its even fun sometimes, but get a clue especially the lame ass CRs for these places.... Ikki.

Guilds were used to 72 man raids, then the 54 cap comes in and people start sitting out, then quitting. Its happening to all the guilds that have mastered Time, on pretty much all servers seeing a 10 to 15 % drop in attendance. Even long time hardcore players are fed up with this expansion and just leaving the game.

Easy fix would seem to be, leave the encounters as is, fix uqua and up the expedition cap back to 72.

Punishing the rest of the playerbase just because others can tear it up easily isn't a solution.

Great lets revamp the WHOLE GAME so EVERYTHING is level 70+ and needs EP/Time/GoD geared guilds to kill.

What does the other 95% of the playerbase that play EQ do then?

Beyond hanging out in POK/POT/Nexus/Arena/Bazaar playing Gems while TRAPPED in those zones unable to do anything that is.

Thats sort of the point. The 95% is high - but 80% of the game is in the hands of players 60+. The content that is supposed to be for "Everyone Else" is nothing more than a farming ground for the 65/100's of AA player.

Just travel to all the zones you use to hit when there was no 61/AA. They are abandoned near completely. Velious was not supposed to be the 60/0AA bus stops here. It was Endgame content. It could still be. And players wouldnt be cornered into wasting away in Uqua/IKk/KT/Yt till they become bored and retire.

I'd be overwhelm with joy if we could fill our Uqua raids with 54 people. We're lucky to see 40.

Similar to Derrict our last Uqua attempt we had 35 show up and 5 of them logged after the 1st 30 minutes. We used to have people waiting in Time A on our 25th Time clear, but now it is a genuine surprise if we have a viable raidforce online for any GoD raids called.

Another 2 - 3 months at this pace, and over half high end raiding guild will have dissapear. Uqua needs to be gimped, really. Top end guild have lots of people retiring, therefore they recruit people in mid end guilds and so on, in the end no is going any further, because you just can't do uqua as well as you don't kill TRC / Coirnav will people really undergeared.
There are something like 40 000 (ie about 400 guilds in elemental + content) players in mid end to top end raiding guild, it's not like it's a small problem for a small number of people.

Back to the original question...what GoD has done to my guild is make it so we can grab a quick pick up group, go kill random mobs and have a chance at some pretty nice loot. Admittedly we're still stuck with only a few zones to play in, but that's a few more than we had before.

HEHE I had completely forgot about that (I been on hiatus for a month). The same 6 mobs over and over and over again with slightly harder abilities each time.

I hate DX9 targeting/warping/pathing/etc issues far more than I hate GoD. Although I'd rank GoD as the 2nd worst expansion, only ahead of LoY.

Clicking 100 times to zone into Barindu/Water/Kodtaz/etc is a f-ing PITA too.....

Theres nothing wrong with Uqua really as it is now, its been tuned properly the last two weeks and the lock out timer I believe is fixed as well. Within the next week you will see someone defeat Barxt the end boss in Uqua and within 2-3 weeks multiple guilds will be pass him. Barxt is a ring event with several guilds spawning and getting him down a reasonable amount.. I think Town Rebels got him to 60%? before it was patched several days ago, and I hear a rumor Heaven and Earth got him to 30% the other day?. So once the new zones open up(I believe theres still 4 more zones as yet seen) which undoubtedly will have loot that far exceeds those of Time, alot more of the thrill will come back into the game. Its just a shame Sony takes so god damn long to fix @#%$ we've been trying for the last couple months because there too busy working on other things, bunch of morons and there time tables.
