Get me out of this hellhole!
Really, who would live on a godforsaken rock like Southern California? It's April and it's already been @#%$ unlivable for a month! It's so dry that I can actually feel the moisture being raped out of my skin. I don't even have @#%$ air conditioning. The room where all my games are is even worse, so i have nothing to do. @#%$ @#%$ weather.
Try the southern third of Alabama sometime (Montgomery specifically).
You know it is bad when the students from Middle Eastern countries who come here for training complain (wife helps edgemicate them on base).
Help me, please

Memphis is at its normal summer 95% humitity at 80-90 degrees on a regular basis already... I just cant wait for the heat of july when its 110 degrees with the same humidity. Last year there was a huge storm that caused power outages for 2 weeks.. alot of older folks died from heat strokes. I really hope it doesnt happen again =(

You live in memphis too Clailya? Thought I was the only memphian on here hehe.
I was moving during those 2 weeks of power outages last year, and with me living in midtown, it was one of the last places to get power.
And yea, memphis is horrible. Extremely humid which is the worst part of summer imo. I would much rather have a dry heat, than have a humid "sticky" heat like we have.

I was in Cali when the huge storm happened. I got calls from my parents saying "Your fathers truck has a bowling ball sized hole in the side and all the windows were blown out"
I didnt know you were a memphian morek =) not many of us here that are big on the internet heh. When I came back to memphis to go back to school in august, there was still alot of cleaning up of tree branches around my school. The 108 degree heat in sacremento was much more bareable then the heat of memphis. I stayed in LA for a bit too. Lemme tell you.. house with no AC and 3 athalons in 1 room = BAD mojo. I was suprised his comps didnt overheat from the 90 degree room rofl.
Seems like 90% of the peopel in memphis have AC though. Even back when I lived in the deep ghetto, I dont remember too many people not having at least a window unit or 2 in the house. I've stayed in places with the humid heat and the dry heat and I would take the dry heat any day of the week. For one, the humidity promotes all these damn mosquitos... *cough* west nile deaths. and another... god i sweat like a beast here. My hair gets frizzy then oily in about 2 hours. I'm so going west for college =(

All depends on what part of Socal you're in, im in a pretty deserty area, think it got to 100degrees or so today, all depends on how use to it you are, I was wearing pants an undershirt and a tshirt, and I was completely comfortable. Than again I've lived here for like 15 years, so im use to it.
I dont blame ya for going west. If I could afford it, I definately would head out there. Plan on heading that way in a few years after school.
The storm was crazy, the morning of was positively the worst thing I have ever seen. Like i said, I was moving that week, so I was moving from a house with no AC (all during the day since we didnt even have street lights at night) to an apartment that was upstairs... with no AC. It was pure hell.
This summer looks like its going to be one of the worst. Our winter was warm hehe, summer is going to make folks in hell feel sorry for us.

yep. no snow at all this winter means bad things. mosquitos, extreme heat, wicked bad humidity =( nad its been raiinginf roa strait #$^#$ week! WTF! I want a storm at least, not this plain rain.

Los Angeles is a bloody hellhole. Not for the weather, not for the heat, but for the neverending @#%$ @#%$ hell @#%$ damn traffic that never @#%$ stops.

heat ! HEAT !!! you don't feel heat till you come here in the summer , get a flat tire at 12:30 PM , and replace it while it reached 50 C and the air is overheated from the street

I agree. This rain sucks... Hopefully it wont be here next weekend for memphis in may. I love hitting beale during the fest.

I live in the suburbs, so I don't get the heat amplified by pavement and concerte. Right now it's pretty tolerable in my room.
Dahne, you can always cover yourself with water, turn on a fan, and read a stack of Nintendo Powers.
