Those cells growing in that dish were created the same way a human life was, by a sperm fertilizing an egg. So then I guess the question is, when does that clump of cells qualify as life?
An abortion prevents birth. So does a pill, a condom, etc. Myself, I wouldn't abort a child unless the birth presented a danger to me. That's just me though, and I'm not about to pass judgement on a person who feels the need to remove something from their body that could not live outside the body on it's own at that point.
As far as late-term/partial birth abortions, where the baby could live outside the body, I can't really support that. But to me, until the child can live on it's own outside of the mother, it's the mother's decision.

Illystra in emodius last post he was trying to make a point that you aren't allowed to do anything you want with your body when it has an adverse effect on another human. Our entire system is based on balancing the rights of one person against the rights of another person to sustain an acceptable level of freedom for all involved. That is why there is such a huge debate over abortion, when is the fetus considered a human life? I'm not exactly against abortion but when it becomes all about you and your body you aren't likely to make the responsible choice. I think you got that part but you just wanted to argue anyways.

Would you agree to end abortion if they remove the fertalized egg for transplant purposes rather than just to discard?

Huh, now that's an interesting idea. I wonder how feaseable that is medically speaking.
Nearly everyone agree late term abortion is indefensable (except the raging lunatics over at NOW), so a complete ban on that is probably workable, but to solve the early term abortion issue the growing child could be removed from one and given to another? Hmm. Interesting idea at least. Again, I'm not sure how feasable it is medically.

He is responsible for child support for 18 years at the very least so your comment is not correct. If she decides to forgo the child support so the "father" is not part of the child's life that is HER decision.
The women holds almost all of the cards in this situation. Our laws give her the power to decide what happens to THEIR baby.
What if she wants an abortion but the man wants to keep it? Who has the power there?
What if she wants to keep it but the man wants the baby aborted? Who has the power there?
If she decides to put the baby up for adoption, that is the first point at which a man gains any power. He can potentally block the abortion and take the baby for himself. This is rare and it is contengent upon the woman putting the baby up for adoption in the first place.
In most scenarios the man will have the right to see his child once every 2 weekends and perhaps 1 full week during the year, at best.
When it comes to an unborn baby the women truly does have the options and the man is at the mercy of their decisions.

Hmm, the first article said that the artificial womb technology has been tested on goats, and many of them died earlier than normal after being "brought to life" by artificial wombs.
The article then goes on to explain one of the most important questions in the abortion debate: when is a baby considered "alive?"

Hmm, I'm pro-life, but I disagree with that. I never payed attention in sex ed, so I don't know when a baby's brain and vital organs begin to develop.
