No Kevinic..not twins any more..while I was spending day after day in Hate...you were out getting Kael and ToV armor...who's armor is better, eh? yours! But maybe someday...
Glad to see so many newer raiders getting such good info from such good teachers.
And btw...finally got to see Inny the other day. Killed him with Order of the Eternal Moon...god what a rush..finally got to get him back for all the times he sent the KK's into battle in their underwear or teasing me with the lure of "Warrior BP" only to find out it was an Ikky BP!

Ok-heres my two cents worth about hate raids.
Since I have hit 56 with my cleric, i have been put alot into group 1 and I have noticed that people seem to not know how to assist heal or rather they think it only applies to the tanks. So...
Raids are NOT about getting experience. Clerics need to learn how to do their jobs in hate. Make your assist key to assist the main assist. Make your general assist key. When there is a pull, hit your assist MA key, then keep hitting your reg assist key. If someone needs a heal, by all means heal them. ESPECIALLY if it is an enchanter or cleric.
The group 1 cleric has the MA, puller and main enchanter usually and has their hands full. Dont assume they are going to get a heal-just do it! Of course this is not to say if the MA is down like one bubble of health then divine light him. That is a waste of mana. For the main tank, I would say unless its a nasty pull, dont heal them until they are down half. Concentrate on watching for aggro on the others (cleric, enchs etc).
I used to think hate was alot of fun. But when I start being main cleric and dying without heals, I start to get very angry-especially when I see mob has been slain by cleric or on mana checks-when the MA is not needing alot of heals so I am at 80 and all the other clerics are at 60 or so.
If you are a cleric, you should have given up nuking long ago and learned the art of assist healing. If not, please do before your next hate raid.

hello yall i have a question although i am not a tank ithought this may be a good place to ask, i was on a hate raid the other day . we only had one shaman and he was slowing mobs..i beinig the only mage left up there was asked to cast molosi..haveing never really been a main part of many thing meaning all i have ever done is suply clerics with mana and blast..but anyhow my question is how am i suposed to loc on the right mob to lower MR? ..i was waiting for MA to be called and then casting ..the few times i tryed to do this befor MA was called i was thanking the cleric for a job well done..i know malosi does not break mez and that it stacks with tashan. also where am i suposed to stand while doing this ..i was standing with the melees on the wall not with the chanters or the other casters thank you didimus 52 elementalist

Calare has a great point......Being MA in hate and me dying after seeing clerics nuking time after time is really upsetting. Just thought I would give Kudos and cause a bump at the same time

Great post! Myself, being a 56 chanter, I like to have a wiz or cleric /assist and stun anything beating on me so I can get that mez off if I am having any problems.

my advise will be... differentin different scenarios... i am not a mage so if a mage reads this and does not agree by all menas correct me..
EVERY raid has a MAIN ASSIST... if it does not... leave as soon as possible...
as soon as you know who mainassist is...
make a hot key lets assume BigBadWar (BBW for short from here on) is the main assist
/assist BigBadWar
Scenario 1
you have one mob and one alone...
hit your ASSIST KEY
this puts the mob as your target...
tweedle your thumbs...
BBW shouts assist...continue twiddling your thumbs 3seconds
hit that ASSIST KEY again (just as a precaution)
hit malosi spell
.....by now tanks have the agroo... your spell wont ping pong the mob...
Scenario 2
there are more than 1 mob around
-WAIT till ALL mobs are mezzed
- do as above for the one in battle
-once you landed malosi on the current target...
target the other by clicking on them and cast Malosi on them at your leisure... just make sure whichever mob BBW grabs has been maloed... if he grabs one that youhavent maloed... do above and then go back to finish up the rest
- if BBW is doing his/her tanking job well... he/she will taunt any mezzed mob enough so when mezz isbroken it wont go after the chanter or you.
now as to where should you be?
2 possible places...
1. if you decide to do what i suggest.... be on the right hand side of the arch (looking into the hallway) NOT in the hallway.. but on the wall.. pretty much you become a pillar of the wall an extension of the wall if yuo get my point.
2. if you decide to just stick to maloing one at a time as assist is called... then get you bootay to the casters wall away from the tanks. the gate in house is small enough that your malo spell has the range and the main tank wont be that far that your assist key dont work.

This worked for me today in hate with Torgy
When monk is pulling shoot your trusty bow at the target which you will be killing first. ( the list torg gave)
first hotkey
Assist the monk pulling then,
Eddhead shouts " I HAVE A <{<{<{ Torgaranu >}>}>}> Targeted DON NOT ATTACK YET!!!!"
attack for ten seconds
then pull out of archway to tanks waiting at wall.
Next hotkey
Eddhead shouts, " ASSIST ME ON A {{{{{ Torguranu }}}}}
If an add comes that wasnt there a minute ago and is higher priority to die call out
Eddhead shouts, " I AM CHANGING TARGETS NOW!!!!! ASSIST ME ON A [[[[[[ Torguranu add ]]]]]]
and finally
Eddhead shouts , " I am so weak please res me"
worked for me first time tanking hate. Was fun and went well
just needed some pushing work, mobs were getting pushed towards archway not away from. oh well good raid anyways.

Like most people I like to play a few different characters. So far only have 1 that is big enough to go to the plane of hate, so one day I went, must say it was a blast, and yes petty much everything posted above seems to be correct, only a few druids even think of going, not sure why, but I went as a 51 druid, and fun, got a Tunarian Scimitar for my troubles, hehe. I must say it had to be one of the better raids, since I only know of 1 death, I stayed about 5 hours, a 53 necro was slaughterd by one of them darn rats, hehe, and he was in my group, healed him back to full, he sat back down, and boom, rat just tore the necro plum up. So let me say, that as a caster if you get agro.....please dont sit down.....shortly after that the caped crusader as he was called was taken out, and a happy level 48 warrior there was.....won his roll out of 7 other tanks.....
so remember.....if a caster has some agro.....please dont sit....might just be your death......

Clerics in hate
I could not agree more with Calare.
The last few raids to hate I have been in G1 as the main healer. I always shout "Clerics should be assist healing, if you dont know what that is give me a tell". I get tells from at least 2 clerics.
Once we get up there I laugh when I see "EXP_Greedy_Cleric01 has killed a Target". I started to make hotkeys to target and assist each cleric in the raid. Out of 4 clerics only one was healing besides me. Then when you drop the CH or Divine light and one of the mobs comes over to pimp slap you can die knowing you are not going to get a heal.
I send a tell to raid leader and nothing ever happens. If I goto Hate now I ask not to be in G1.

I come from a differant server where we did things differantly but I am enjoying the way this server does its hate raids.
I used to play a Lvl 54 Wizard and 51 Cleric so being a tank is something differant for me.
I think so far my only grip would be one that was mentioned here already.
The tank that gets agro, Keeps agro, and calls assist very late in the game.
I was on a raid awhile back where I was in group 2 and my r/l wife was in the pull group. They easily got 80% of the kills. To me that seems like the groups werent planned very well. Im not there to gain exp. I was there to get knowledge on how and what to do as a tank. Though that still bothered me some that with 5 groups 1 was getting most of the kills.
How do you deal with that when the leader of the raid is in that group?
*Edit* Looking at things differantly I guess if the raid leader was in the ks group to keep control of the loot then that makes some sence I guess. I hadent really thought about that. I have only been on plain raids with a guild. Being on this server unguilded I am attending open raids. So I guess I was wrong in my thoughts.. nm.. lol
Just wanted to give my 2pp worth *my time is worth more then cp.. LOL and get some info/ opinions

Syainn, sorry if i mispelled your name...
I have lead too many raids to keep count now adays... most of the time i am not on the main grp nor on the KS grp, i put people i know and trust as grp leaders and count on them to loot and pass down the gems and jewels.
As a friend of mine said once... if on a hunting night there are more than 3 groups... forget about exp sharing... sometimes the main goal is to kill as fast as you can so you can go home to the family...
if the rogue is doing his job (i find hard to find the actual scouting rogues nowadays) they will hardly be doing any damage, they are out scouting not infront of the mob). Half the time the monk is taking a nap FD on his corner so he is not dealing damage... in other words on most my raids grp1(puller grp) hardly gets any exp...
I do have to admit i have one damn grp that always does it... it is usually my grp 3 or the grp i throw togteher so i leave noone in sro lfg (yes i am a sucker so sue me)

yes i know...3 tanks and a damn wizard what do i expect, specially if that damn wizard happend to be named NASSY...

well, i shall be back in about a month and see how things are back in my home away from home. Me chanter is lv 38, 8 more levels so i can run my 3rd toon through hate.

Hmm Group makeing...
On the rare occasions where i lead hate, i normaly take 7 teams. 6 teams to fight, and the 7th as leading team. That is me and the few people that didnt make it in team 1 to 6. Team 7 normaly dissolves to fill holes in team 1 to 6.
team 1 - Main assist
team 2 - enchanter 1
team 3 - puller 1
team 4 - secondary assist
team 5 - enchanter 2
team 6 - puller 2
team 7 - lead team
As you can see this is the way i like to do things when i get the people needed to do that set up. The splitting of tasks over team numbers has the reason, when team 1 to 3 port up and wipe, i stil have a 2nd try, team 4 to 6 who are fully functioning.
I had never been to ToV when I posted that originally. But, that has changed since then
