Tanis laughed, perhaps it is and perhaps it isn't. The lady he was intrested in, more than likely wouldn't attend. This wasn't her sort of thing. "Well Lucas, how are you?" he asked.

There was a large group to one side of the room as you entered, and Allie was so tempted to go and join them, especially once she spotted Haley, who she had met at the Welcome Back feast. However, one glance at Brooke, and she knew that wasn't an option, so the brunette Gryffindor begrudgingly walked over to her best friends.
"Hey Brooke, hey Kristin," Allie said to her friends with a smile, smoothing her pleated denim skirt. She had on a red and white striped t-shirt, and her hair was straightened and in a half ponytail, with a red ribbon tied carefully into her brunette locks.

Becky entered the Great Hall and quickly looked around for Steph, Brad, or any of her other friends. She didn't see Brad anywhere but she did see Steph and some other people she the red haired seventh year went to where they were.
"Hi Steph and everyone else," Becky said to Steph and the others.

But they're definitely more students here." She said to Tally, with a grin. But the blonde's grin only widened further once she felt Lucas's arm around her.
Haley turned to Lucas, and put her arms around him, in a warm and large embrace. She winked at him, and slowly pulled apart from him. "She's been good...But even better since you've arrived." She said to him, playfully, which means here that she was flirting with the charming Slytherin in front of her. She let one of her slender fingers run across his cheek, in a teasing manner.
"And how've you been, cutie?"Haley asked, while flipping her long blonde hair in back of her shoulders.

"Oh, you know... Missing you," Lucas said in a teasing tone, although it was far from being a lie. He really had missed the beautiful, fun blond over the summer, and was glad to see her again.
"Nah, but really, summer was kinda boring... I hung out with my sister Amanda a lot. Betsy and T.L. were too busy to be seen with the 16 year old," Lucas said with a shrug.

Haley's eyes softened, in a teasing way. "Aww, poor baby...I definitely missed you, too." She said, playfully, with a fake pout. "If I was there you wouldn't even have to think about them leaving you out...After all, we do have so much fun together; right cutie?" She teased him, while putting a mischevious grin on her pretty face, and winking one of her elegant eyes.

Haley's grin was uncontainable, and was basically lighting up the whole hall as Lucas said she was his favorite person is Hogwarts. She put her pointer finger over his lips to 'shhhhush' him. "Oh, c'mon Lucas. Don't say that; I mean, I don't shine in this castle nearly as much as you do." She said, her sugary sweet, yet seductive voice lingering with flirtation. Her eyes continued to lock on his, as she pulled away her finger, and leant up to kiss him; before he could say anymore.

Tanis was about to throw up at the site of Haley and Lucas. "Excuse me your guys," he said. With that he walked over by Brooke. "Excuse me Brooke, how are you? I am Tanis. I felt that I should come over here. Lucas and Haley were making me sick."
"Hey, you two, get a room-or at least do dance," Murph said teasingly, nudging Haley and the cute boy that she seemed quite attached to. She almost laughed as she saw Tanis walking away because of the sight of the two of them.

"I'm good-how are you?" Brooke said, smiling uncertainly at Tanis. She laughed, though, when he said that Haley and Lucas-was that the hottie's name?-were making him sick.
"Aw, you can't blame her-he's a babe," she said offhandedly, and then opened her mouth again.
"These are my friends Kristin and Allie, by the way," she added, indicating the strawberry blond and the brunette that were on either side of her.

The doors opened again and in slipped a lovely Ravenclaw fourth year with dark brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. She was wearing just a little bit of lip gloss-she didn't much need makeup because of her natural beauty. She had on khaki capris and a navy blue polo shirt that clung to her in all the right places. She had a shy smile on when she spotted her three best friends, who she quickly approached.
"Hey guys... wow, nice party," Gabby Percy said quietly as she hugged Murph Waldorf, Bridget Kaligaris, and Tally Sharpe all in turn. Then she turned to the other members of the group, feeling slghtly awkward. "I'm Gabby," she said quietly, forcing her brilliant blue eyes to meet theirs.

Tanis could feel something strange in the room. It was as if there was a change in the winds so to speak. The hair on the back of his neck stood straight up, stiff as a board. He waited for a second and then turned around. Look back across the room at the other group, he saw someone. Someone who had just walked in. Someone that he didn't think would show up. Someone that was looking very attractive. He looked straight at Gabby and said, "WOW!".
Once again he left his words leave his mouth before he thought about what he was saying. He had just embarassed him self in front another one of Gabby's family members. This wasn't the right way to start off the New Year, or a new crush.

Right after Gabriella walked in, a certain New Yorker entered the hall. He had his favorite Fall Out Boy shirt on, and his Circa skating sneakers on. His pants where a bit baggy, and black, opposed to the gray Fall Out Boy tee. With a ruggish grin on his face, Brad walked over to Becky; whom he immediately spotted, as always.
As he reached her, Brad hugged the red-head from behind. "Hey goargeoas...Guess whoo" He said, in his rough New York accent.

Tanis laughed a little bit at himself. "She is Gabriella Percy, a Ravenclaw 4th Year. And I would say that I have it pretty bad. We are going on at ummm I guess you could call it, to the Falcons quidditch match this Friday night. I am taking her on my broom to my house, and then to the game. And if you don't mind my asking, who are you?" He said with a smile. He was getting a little better about talking about his feelings for Gabby.

"Allison Montgomery-but you can call me Allie. I'm a Gryffindor 5th year," she explained with a shrug. She thought it was kind of cute that he seemed so crazy about this Gabby girl... Allie was always wishing that she could find that kind of guy to be crazy about her, but she was usually overshadowed by her two best friends.
