"Aww, that's a shame," Alice said. "I thought everyone liked Quidditch. My dad had to pay an arm and a leg to get us tickets to the last world cup. It was worth it, though."
Re: Studying
"It was Germany versus America. America won by a hair," said Alice. "Everyone was real surprised America made it to the cup, much less winning it. Just goes to show you can't underestimate your opponent, I guess."
Alice sighed. "I would like to visit Salem Massachusetts in America, some day. You know, all of the supposed witch burnings."
Re: Studying
"If you're from America, how come you don't go to school there?" Alice asked curiously. "I'm fairly sure they have some wizarding schools there. I know they have at least one, anyway."
Re: Studying
"I go to Hogwarts because Hogwarts is a way better school and also because when my dad was young he went here," Carrie said with a small smile. Before her dad had died he had said he wanted his children to go to Hogwarts like he had done when he was young.
Re: Studying
"Was your father a Ravenclaw?" Alice asked. Even though Alice and Ben were siblings, somehow they had ended up in different Houses. "I was real upset when I first was sorted into Ravenclaw. I wanted to be with my brother."
Re: Studying
"No my father wasn't in Ravenclaw he was in Gryffindor like Becky is. Supposivly my dad was a troublemaker like Becky is now when he went to Hogwarts," Carrie told Alice.
"My sister Laura was upset when she was sorted into Hufflepuff and not in one of the houses me and my other siblings are in. When our cousin, Linda was sorted into Hufflepuff Laura started to like Hufflepuff,"
Re: Studying
"Yeah, well, I'm glad I was sorted into Ravenclaw now. My brother is about as nice as a warty toad. Ignored me since my first day here," she said sadly.
Re: Studying
"Does he ignore you during summer?" Carrie asked Alice. "My older sister ignored me and all my other siblings when she was still at Hogwarts,"
