interesting tidbit i just uncovered about rogue epic
I don't think i've ever posted here before, but I just uncovered this a few minutes ago...and figured I'd share it for everyone else's benefit.
I was sitting in Kaladim bored to tears trying to pp Founy for the stained parchment top. I was pretty sure i'd picked him dry for that spawn, so out of boredom around 8 pm game time I wandered over to Exterminator Vin on the other side of the room...hit PP...and bam! First try I pulled the Stained Parchment Top from him.
I'm confused, yet happy! Granted, this is an epic for a twink...and i've been there before, but anything that saves me time is something I enjoy.
Perhaps this explains where the location of the stained parchment is when it's not to be found on Founy.
Ah well, hope this info helps someone else get one step closer to their epic sooner!

Either you just found out a very little known piece of information... Or someone planted that note on him!!
Either way, I'm gonna be looking into it myself.

Interesting.. I'd been trying to get that note to help a bard friend with her high elf mask for quite some time... tonight after a few unsuccessful picks on Founy I recalled this thread so went over and picked the Exterminator twice.. second pick got me the Stained Parchment Top.
Draw from this what conclusions you will

Hmmm very interesting bit of info. Anyone recall why Founy was originally pointed to as the only place to get the parchment? When I did it, I just followed previous peoples instructions.......

good to see i wasn't the only one who encountered this. my add and experimentation have finally produced something of value!
wonder if i'm the first person who knew about this, how neat would that be considering how long this quest has been around =)

I figure its a bug? Maybe thats why people have been complaining about not getting notes from Founy... Its spawning on the wrong mob.

As well, there WERE no exterminator NPCs back when the Rogue epic was first implemented.

I just picked Vin about a dozen times with no luck. I picked Founy clean of cash, plus about half a dozen more tries. I switched characters real quick, and came back before respawn. A few picks later, I got the note off Founy. Level 43, 189 pick pocket, on Cazic.

I picked the parchment of the exterminator the other day on Bristlebane.
Picked the dwarf clean, then I rememberd this post.

Most likely you did get the note but it wasn't showing on your cursor (known bug). Then when you grabbed something off the other dorf the queue got bumped and the note appeared.

No they fixed that bug, at least on rallos. So what you pick is what you see. Weird that the exterminator has the note now, but eh. Whose going to complain right?

There is an Exterminator in Neriak as well. I haven't tried either but it's worht a shot.

I tried the exterminator in Neriak Third Gate extensively. I never got the note from that exterminator. Ended up getting it from the DE rogue guildmaster----finally!
I did not try the exterminator in Commons or foreign quarter. But I did pick pocket the Third Gate exterminator for a loooooong time. never got a parchment. This was a month ago or so.

So this is true? Surprising. It sounded a lot more like a rogue specific version of the "Mayor Gubbins drops a Jade Reaver" rumor.
