June 1st - June 19th
It's almost summer! The last few weeks of school have come, and students will need to study hard for their final exams! Don't let up yet, or your grades won't be what you want them to. Of course, the weather is almost perfect and pristine, in attempts to lure students away from their studies.
"Why are we here?" (10:30 am)(ISO: Rae, Open)
(Entrance Hall)
Walking through the doors, Andre wondered how he merited an invitation. Or, was it his wife that merited it and he was being dragged along. It didn't matter anyway. He was still teaching, and it sometimes shocked him to see students he taught as members of the wizarding communty, or even back at Hogwarts. He was now owlless, still greiving over his recent loss of a bird. Snow Storm had been a very important part of his life for many years. However now, it was much different.
Andre looked around the Entrance Hall. It was magnificent and made him long to be back at Hogwarts. He was in his finest- a black suit jacket, light blue shirt, dark blue tie, and black dress pants. His wardrobe wasn't so tattered and torn anymore, thanks to his wife. Speaking of whom, he turned to look and find. She wasn't still fussing about in the car, was she? "Hey! You got to see this place." He continued to look out the door for her, yet he kept scanning around to look more at the hall. Something about the staircase kept attracting his attention. Maybe if he was lucky, he could find a library. Or if he was luckier, he'd actually be able to leave. "By the way, why are we here?" he asked, seeing his wife finally walking up.
A smile crossed Raechael's face as she stopped to look at her surroundings, while her husband walked through the doors to Armand D'Angelo's rather large manor. It was a sight to see, of course - who could expect less from the great social prince of the 2009 class year? The outside itself was enough to bring a smile to her face. Most of the students that went to school while she was teaching would be here, hopefully. One thing she would have loved was to have a small conversation with Puck - she had taken over the position that Raechael herself had resigned from not too long ago.
But now she was married. How would the rest of the students take it? The only reason she came was because she had gotten an invitation from a small owl, telling her that she was invited to the bash of a century. She figured the only reason she got an invitation was because Armand was one of her prized students back before he graduated. Ever since she got the invitation, she had wondered - what had Armand done with himself? She hadn't heard of him in the magical world, though it was humanly possible to be famous in the Muggle world instead.
Taking a deep sigh, she decided to follow into the manor behind her husband. The outside was impressive, but she was dying to see what the inside looked like.
"Hey! You got to see this place."
With a small grin, Raechael turned the corner from the side of the house to through the doorway, and looked around in surprise. If the outside was impressive, the inside was godly. Being an interior decorator herself, she was going to have to push Armand into telling her who decorated for him. Maybe if she was lucky he had a room that needed to be done, and she'd get a job out of this trip.
"Wow..."
"By the way, why are we here?"
Raechael grinned up at her husband, walking over to him and grabbing the nook of his arm gently. Sometimes men were so forgetful - or maybe she hadn't told him. She could have sworn she did, but she didn't loose her paitence - she had been working on that very carefully.
"Because Armand asked us to? Don't worry, we can make sure we're the first ones out... I just want to see how everyone is. Keep in mind, I don't teach at the school anymore, I can't look at students every day."
She stuck her tongue out at him with a small grin and chuckle. She didn't know exactly why she loved him, but she knew that she did, and very much.
Re: "Why are we here?" (10:30 am)(ISO: Rae, Open)
Felix, soon to be Professor Ash, was standing in the shadow of the grand staircase in the entrance hall of Armand's mansion. He had been there for almost an hour already, and he had a bottle of firewiskey in his hand, dispite the time. He was gingerly sipping it from time to time. It had been quiet for a while, and he had not seen his former housemate since he had arrived. He assumed Armand was entertaining the few guests that had arrived at the moment. He was thinking about Margo and how she had "forgotten" to tell him that his family was visiting in an attempt to have them make ammends. There was no ammends to be made. His parents and the rest of his family, with the exception of Margo, had disowned him when three years ago, when he graduated from Hogarts a full wizard. He had spent his first year out of school with his favorite sister, trying to get a job in the wizarding world. He had finally decided that he was in no way ever going to re-enter the Muggle world, so he made his way back to his home, his real home, Hogwarts, where he has been training with the current DADA teacher so he could take the position after his retirement.
Felix's mind had been going over old memoried from his years at Hogwarts when he heard someone enter the hall. He slunk into the shadows a little more, so as to be hidden but still able to see who was the next guest to arrive. It was Andre Kumocoo, the Muggle Studies teacher, who had been there when Felix started at the school. Oh, great. He's here. She must be here, too, then. Professor Kumocoo had been trying to hide the fact that he was married to the old Transfiguration teacher, or so it seemed. Felix could tell that something was going on between them at first, but eventually he realized they were married. He never said anything thougn, partially because Felix didn't like Andre's absent-mindedness, and partially because he wasn't sure if it was a secret, in which case he didn't want to blow it wide open. The man seemed to be completely enthrawled in the grandeur of the place. Felix had been too, but he soon got used to it.
Felix took a swig of hs firewhiskey each time the old man turned his head, so as not to be noticed. He didn't want to be known until the opertune moment. Pretty soon, Professor Tyrno had joined the Muggle Studies teacher in the entrance hall. They were talking to each other, but the boy was too far away to hear what the couple was saying. Felix finished off what little firewhiskey was left in his bottle and set it on the flat part of the banister at the bottom of the stairs before emerging from the shadows. He began to walk towards the couple, swaying slightly - that had been his third bottle of firewhiskey that day. "Well, if it isn't Professor Kumocoo and retired Professor Tyrano. Glad you could join the party. Such a lorious day, isn't it?"
Re: "Why are we here?" (10:30 am)(ISO: Rae, Open)
Andre's face lit to see Rae walk in. They'd been rather quiet about their marriage, keeping the wedding small and then not exactly telling anyone about it, but not denying it either. Andre couldn't hide the fact that his day was brighter when he was in their house in Hogsmeade, after he'd finished a day of work and he could see her. They took a good intrest in each others work, until it was discovered that Andre had NO talent for interior decorating. The best he ever did was figuring out how to get 7 bookselves in a very small room and keeping it all accessable not to mention not looking atrocious. Of course, much about his office had changed, with Rae's help. Andre loved her work, and loved walking into the office and remembering that she decorated it for him. They'd left the gold owl stand in the corner of his office this past year. Andre couldn't stand to truely accept that his owl had died. He just kept telling himself that she'd finally flown away.
"Because Armand asked us to? Don't worry, we can make sure we're the first ones out... I just want to see how everyone is. Keep in mind, I don't teach at the school anymore, I can't look at students every day."
She told him, resting a hand on his arm. He smiled at her, and was about to give her a kiss and an ok, before he heard another voice.
"Well, if it isn't Professor Kumocoo and retired Professor Tyrno. Glad you could join the party. Such a lorious day, isn't it?"
Andre sighed. If there was anyone he could do without seeing today, it was Felix Ash. Felix was studying to be the DADA professor when that professor decided to retire. Andre saw him everyday. He squeezed Rae's hand and turned to look at Felix as he came out of the shadows. "Drunk already? Hasn't anyone told you to pace yourself?" Andre asked- showing a disproval. Many people knew that Andre highly disapproved of alcohol in any form. Others chose to ignore that fact. Andre looked to Rae for any other comments, not trusting the ones in his brain.
