Re: wow, I just realized something.
oh, those were the days.
for those that don't remember, one day my little alt paladin was running around in Unrest in his rubicite armor, which no longer dropped. or maybe it hadn't stopped dropping just yet, I don't remember; at any rate, the breastplate was still pretty valuable. so this guy comes up and shoves a runed bolster belt in my trade window and offers it to me for the breastplate and legs. Well, I'm not stupid, so I took the trade, but I made the guy give me his mithril legs, arms, and breastplate too so my paladin wasn't nekkid. At the time, the mithril arms and legs were also really expensive because fire giants were somewhat of a high end recreational activity still and not commonly killed by people where someone didn't need them for a main. I ran back to town, bought a new set of rubicite legs for a couple thousand plat, and all was good. I didn't have my breastplate anymore, but who cares?
So I tell Sutekh about it, and he replies "laf you just made 500 bucks." Nice way to put it in ebay terms.
But then, a while later, I start getting gibberish tells from Thogg. Turns out he loaned his account to someone and they stripped the character and sold all his stuff. Well, I didn't know that, and it's not like I stole the stuff, I just made a trade. So, he goes completely nuts and starts basically being a retard about it, so I decided not to undo the trade like I was going to. There were GMs involved, they pretty much looked it up in the logs and said "well, nice lucky trade sir, enjoy yout day." And that was that. I think the GM even gave Thogg a replacement belt because he whined so damn much. I don't remember if that was the old Dragolen thing.
But the point remains: I STILL HAEV THOGGS BLET.

Re: wow, I just realized something.
AoC is a beautiful game and plays great from 1-79. However, the level 80 content is horrible, buggy, untested, and not enough of it. I'd recommend waiting ~3 months for Funcom to get their act together.
My AoC guild has put the game on the backburner (maybe Raiding 1-2x a week....pvp has been a horrible horrible experience, we're not even bothering at this point), and in the meantime, we've been playing EQ2 =D

bah
thogg..man. I remember when a bunch of us went to Drinal with the split, and he and I among others were in iceclad after Lodizal... the typical tunare peep raid. Sedain was there I recall.. anyway he challenges me to a duel.
I accept. Anyway, toe to toe I didn;t stand a chance, so there was alot of running and mending involved. Long story, I ran around the tower of frozen shadow alot, would run up the spires, use falls to damage him, and FD so the trains would jump him.
I was winning, and he petitoned me for training him. I tried to explain to the GM it was a duel, and he challenged ME, and that those mobs couldn't kill Thogg anyway... got a mark on my record for that. I couldn't believe it..
